First, a light for the fog

Captain Pip’s voice arrives with a crackle. “Harbor crew! A blanket of fog has settled over the docks. Very inconsiderate. I had just tidied them.”

Inky the kraken is bringing the midnight picnic. He can see the harbor, but he cannot find the little party pier. Your first mission: make a lighthouse that can guide him home.

Together, choose a flashlight, a lamp that is already easy to use, or an imaginary light made with your hands.

Another way to play

Point to a light already nearby; nobody needs to fetch or move it.
Make a little circle with your hands and imagine it glowing.
Stay seated and ask your grown-up to point or describe a light for you.
